Last post of 2009!

hello all!
Happy New Year! I had a great Christmas. I received a new mp3 player and plenty of yarn!! I'm working on socks with one of the yarns. I'm also working on a wavy scarf, its an intersting pattern. I'm using red heart and the scarf will be for my February 31st deadline for Scarves From the Heart (I'm a member of the stichers for the seasons program at that charity) i bascially make a scarf every three months. February's theme is pink and/or blue. I must go read for my book report.

Christmas Eve 2009

so I wont be finished the orange peel sweater in time, I made an error that I need help fixing. I was working on Bella's Mittens and finished one but dont have enough yarn to finish the second. (I went to Joann's last night but they were sold out of that color). I will post pics when both are finished. I did order from joanns.com so I could still get the sale. Now I started a new pair of socks. So far I have gotten amazon.com and knitpicks.com gift cards online. I tried to use the gift card from amazon on my kindle to buy a book and it kept charging my dad's credit card so I called them and got a guy with an accent who was very nice but i'm not sure if the problems solved or not. I cannot wait for tommorow morning. I had a strange dream last night, that my mom got me all these DS that were all about cats for Christmas and I started arguing with her in the dream. Totally weird. I'm playing a few songs on violin for my family tonight at our annual family party at my house. Happy Holidays to all!

Holiday Show Tommorow!/today

I'm so excited for the holiday show tommorow and Friday! I've been working so hard for it! I'm singing in Don't Stop Believen, and playing violin in other songs. The band I'm in is the biggest ever! My friend, Erin, is singing a song she wrote!

Today was a fairly good day. My mentor, gave me a book about broadway as my Christmas present. It's so interesting! We are watching a documentary in Bio 2 called America the Beautiful. Some of the facts are appaling! Did you know that the plastic surgeons on Dr. 90210 are not board certified?

I've been working hard on my sweater that i'm knitting (the pattern is called Orange Peel Sweater). I hope to have it finished by Xmas but it probaly wont be. Off to my violin lesson!

Rough Two Weeks

It has been a rough two weeks. I have had been having a Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) flare up. I had a hard time getting through my orchestra rehersal on the 2nd of November. I also have not been able to knit and crochet as much as I'd like. To top things off, the end of the marking period is today, so I've had a lot of last minute tests and quizzes. We are also dissecting a cat in Bio 2 which is difficulut for me emotionally and physically. Luckily my lab partner is helping me with the physical part. I am getting used to the dissecting though and emotionally I'm doing better.

Yesterday was the college fair at my school. I was at school from 7:40 AM to 7:45 PM. I helped set up and talked to Harcum College, College of Saint Elizabeth, and West Virgina Wesleyan College. I'm excited for college.

being frustrated

grr this morning was rough. I got up as usual, ate breakfest, and took my medicine. About an hour and a half after taking my medicine i decided to start my homework. I started with my literature homework which was 4 questions about an Anton Chekov short story called "The Bet". I had understood the story, but the 2 of the questions were giving me trouble. Plus i had trouble focusing. I had also had trouble on Friday with some of my bio 2 (anatomy) homework with the labeling sheets. ALl of this built up. I have all A's but i'm worried about my grades slipping. Luckily I started knitting which relaxed me.

So far, i've done some homework, watched a rerun of ER, ate, and thats about it. I might go watch the soloist. I'm hoping to be better by tommorow night, because its a three day weekend!

My week

This week was pretty amazing. I was off on Monday. On Wed, I got my hair cut for my senior picture on Thursday. I feel my pictures went really well, but I'm wondering if my smile looks too goofy because I have trouble smiling on command like that. Its most likely due to my AS because John Elder Robinson author of Look Me in the Eye also struggles with this. On Thursday I had my violin lesson, depsite the RSD pain, my lesson went quite well. Then I went in line to meet Glenn Beck at his book signing in Cherry Hill. The line was long but it was well worth it. I told him about my teacher who was excited that I was doing his book Aruging With Idiots as my book report book. It was great to meet one of my heroes. Friday was our senior retreat the art museum in Philly. It was prety fun. I got to eat one of my favorite foods, sushi. Then on Saturday I got the yarn for a charity project (a shawl for a breast cancer patient) and went to the greek agora where I ate more yummy food, gyros and baklava sundae.
